2010 Flavour Fest
Part of the four-month long Plymouth Summer Festival, the Plymouth Flavour Fest event is a great event that appeals to epicureans, chefs, aspiring restaurateurs and anyone interested in tasting and trying new foods. This event offers free entry and as a result gets large crowds that attend the festival which takes place over the course of three days. Visitors to the event will be able to see, smell and taste the food that is being prepared and sold at the event, which is organised by the Plymouth City Centre Company.
Plymouth Flavour Fest 2010 has been a part of the Summer Festival since 2006 and during this festival of great food, drink and entertainment, the City Centre is transformed into a lively ‘Continental-style’ market, redolent with the aromas of delicious food prepared on the spot. Expect to see see and have the chance to try:
- Freshly grilled lamb burgers
- Oysters straight from the sea
- Locally made Pasties
- Cider
- Chocolates and pâté
- and a wide variety of gastronomic delights.
Visitors to the event will be able to watch over 25 different cookery demos conducted by reputed chefs. These demos will take place in the Castles Kitchens Cookery Theatre and guests will be able to sample dishes created by more than 120 exhibitors from various parts of Plymouth and the surrounding regions.
