Race for Life
The race for life is a 5km event which is designed to raise money for Cancer Research, the leading Cancer charity in the UK. The event is a good opportunity to get out and do 
some exercising whilst seeing some of the best sights Plymouth has to offer, and all whilst raising money for a great cause. Another great feature of this event is the great spirit in which the event is conducted, with a real community spirit and a sense of togetherness.
Plymouth Classic Boat Rally
For those who own classic boats and especially for those who have an appreciation of them, this 5 day event at the Sutton harbour in Plymouth is a must visit. The key features of this show are the opportunity to stroll along the pontoons and explore the many boats which are moored there, the many exhibitions stands featuring a host of companies and organisations related to boating and, of course, the series of races which take place. British Firework Championships
Fireworks lovers or those who enjoy an extravagant show will adore this high quality competition aimed at finding the best firework company in the land. You can either go to the event itself or admire the sky being lit up from afar. For those who attend the show there are also other features to enjoy such as fairground rides and entertainment.
